Q.  How do you score in the board game?

A.  The answer to your calculation is your score. For example; you play 2×8=16, 16 is the answer to your calculation, 16 is your score.

Q.   What is the difference between the board game and the bag game?

A.   The board game allows for up to 4 players, each taking their turn. The winner of the board game is the player with the highest score at the end of the game.

The bag game plays without a board and can be played by up to six players, all players play at the same time taking tiles from the common pot according to the rules. The winner is the player with no tiles, or the least tiles left when the pot has been used up.

Q.   What is the purpose of the Multi-choice?

A.   Look closely at the Multi-choice and you will see that it includes all the operators (plus +, minus -, divide ÷, multiply x and equals =). It can be used as any one of those operators.

Q.   Once played can a Multi-choice be changed?

A.   Yes, once you have played a Multi-choice and declared which operator it is for your calculation the next player can declare it as something else, if they wish; to suit their calculation.

Q.   What is the purpose of the Free-choice?

A.   A Free-choice is similar to a blank tile in Scrabble®. It can be declared as a Multi-choice or any single number between 0 and 9.

Q.   Once played can a Free-choice be changed?

A.   Yes, even if a player has declared it in a previous move to be, for example a number 8, you can declare it to be a number 2, or even a +, for your calculation.

Q.   What is the purpose of the S square?

A.   S for Start. The first calculation played must include the S square, horizontally or vertically.

Q.   What is the purpose of the D square?

A.   D for double score. If any part of the answer lands on a D square the score is doubled. For example; 2×8=16. Assume the 1 of 16 has landed on a D square, the score doubles to 32.

Q.   What happens if in a subsequent move a player adds to the answer already on a D square.

A.   The new answer score doubles. For example someone adds to the calculation played above by playing 10x2x8=160, the 160 doubles to 320.
